RouterBoard 1100AHx2 Summary

RouterBoard 1100AHx2

The RouterBoard 1100AHx2 is a 13-port Gigabit router with its own rackmount case for easy integration into an existing network, microSD slot for portable storage, and superior dual-core processor.

1U Rackmount Case

RouterBoard 1100AHx2 comes with a 1U rackmount case, which allows you to build your network as you grow. On the other hand, if you already have some existing network schemes, you can easily add more units into the structure because of this rack mount case. The material used ensures that the case can be used for a very long period of time.

Fast Internet Speed

The Internet speed delivered by this router is way superior than that of its competitors. For one, it is fitted with a P2020, which is a dual-core processor capable of generating 1,066MHz of Internet speed or around a million packets in each second. It also has an IPsec accelerator and 2GB RAM.

The RouterBoard 1100AHx2 doesn’t have a miniPCI slot but a single microSD slot for the memory card, which is now often used in plenty of portable devices such as mobile phones and certain cameras. This makes the transfer and sharing of files more efficient and quick. It is also compatible to some devices that work with power over Ethernet, provided that their much-needed power is around 12 to 24 volts, which is the same one used for the device itself.

The device is an amazing 13-port router that provides gigabit Ethernet with bypass capabilities, making this one of the best rack-mounted routers in the market. Some of the ports are part of the switch groups. For added protection, you can also encrypt the hardware.

RouterOS Level 6

The RouterBoard 1100AHx2 runs on RouterOS Level 6 license, which makes it a controller. It offers up to 30 days of initial configuration support and allows you to make the router a wireless access point or a wireless bridge. It supports various protocols such as RIP and BGP with unlimited EoIP, L2TPN, and PPTP tunnels.
